PRIVACY POLICY
Last updated: 9 September 2026
7 Days Offline is a freely accessible, non-commercial information website. You do not need an account to take part, and we do not offer newsletter subscriptions. This policy explains how information is handled when you visit the website or contact us.
Who is responsible
The website is operated by Lukas Cakalidis, who is the controller of personal data processed for the purposes described in this policy. For privacy questions or requests, contact info@7daysoffline.com.
What we do not do
There are no user accounts, no registration, no newsletter and no contact form. We run no analytics, no advertising, no Meta Pixel and no embedded social media posts. Nothing on these pages tracks you across websites.
Email correspondence
If you contact us by email, we process your email address, any name or signature you provide, the subject and content of your message, any attachments, and the technical information that accompanies an email, such as headers and delivery data. We use it to answer your enquiry and to manage any correspondence that follows. Contacting us does not subscribe you to a mailing list.
Please avoid sending sensitive personal information, or information about other people, unless it is necessary for your enquiry. This inbox is not a medical, counselling or emergency service.
Legal basis
Ordinary enquiries are processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in replying to people who contact the project, managing the resulting correspondence and keeping the website and mailbox running securely. Where processing is required to meet a legal obligation, that obligation is the legal basis. Any different purpose is assessed against an appropriate legal basis before the information is used for it.
How long we keep correspondence
Ordinary resolved enquiries are deleted from the active mailbox no later than 12 months after the correspondence is concluded. Correspondence about an ongoing collaboration is kept for as long as that collaboration needs it. Where records must be kept by law, or are needed to establish, exercise or defend legal claims, they may be kept for the relevant period.
This 12-month period applies to the active mailbox. It is not the same as the retention periods the hosting provider applies to its own backups and technical logs, which may hold copies for a different length of time. Deleting a message from the mailbox therefore does not necessarily remove every backup copy at the same moment.
Hosting and email services
Website hosting and the project mailbox are provided by Active24, s.r.o., on its Simple hosting service. As part of delivering, securing and maintaining the website and the mailbox, the provider processes personal data on our behalf, and it may involve its own subprocessors for parts of that infrastructure. Its terms and privacy information are published at active24.cz/o-spolecnosti/obchodni-podminky and active24.cz/o-spolecnosti/soukromi. Those documents describe the provider's own processing and supplement, rather than replace, the explanation on this page.
Technical records
When you visit the website, the hosting infrastructure processes your IP address and request information to deliver the pages. Technical logs may also contain the requested address, request time and browser information for security and troubleshooting. These records exist for security, troubleshooting and abuse prevention, not to build a profile of visitors, and we do not use them for analytics. They are held by the provider under its own conditions and retention periods.
International transfers
We do not transfer personal data outside the European Economic Area ourselves. Where our provider or its subprocessors carry out any processing outside the EEA, that transfer takes place under the safeguards set out in the provider's terms and privacy documentation, linked above.
Cookies and external resources
This website uses no analytics and no advertising cookies, and it sets no cookies of its own. No social media posts, videos or comment widgets are embedded into these pages, and no fonts, scripts or other files are loaded from third-party servers. Everything the pages need is served from this website.
Hosting infrastructure can in principle use a technical or security cookie of its own. If that turns out to be the case for this service, it will be described here.
Social links
The website contains ordinary links to our public Facebook group and our Instagram profile. No social media content is embedded into these pages, so nothing is loaded from those platforms until you choose to follow a link. Once you do, you are on that platform and its own privacy information and terms apply.
If you interact with the project there — a comment, a post in the group, a direct message — we see what you choose to share and may use it to reply or to moderate the community.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, you may request access to your personal data, correction, erasure or restriction of processing. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests. The right to data portability applies where its legal conditions are met.
To exercise your rights, contact info@7daysoffline.com. We normally respond within one month. If an extension is permitted and necessary, we will explain the reason and tell you within that initial period.
You may lodge a complaint with the Czech Data Protection Authority (Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů, uoou.gov.cz) or with another competent supervisory authority.
Children
The information and the seven-day plan are available without registration. We do not ask children to create accounts or subscribe to messages. If you are concerned about personal information a child has sent to us, please contact info@7daysoffline.com.
Changes to this policy
If the way information is handled changes, this page and the date at the top will be updated.
